Illya was a real little character, always cheerful
and cheeky, mischievous and into everything. He was supremely confident
and outgoing, taking everything in his stride, and was a real show-off.
He made his show debut, qualifying for Cruft's 2009 at his very
first championship show with a 1st in the Dog Puppy class at just over 6
months of age. He was quite a handful to show as he found it well nigh
impossible to keep all four feet on the ground, preferring to show
everyone just how very much he was enjoying himself.
He did in fact manage to keep still long enough to
take 3rd place in Junior Dog at Cruft's 2009, and at City of Birmingham
Championship Show in September 2009 he took Best Dog.
On October 8th 2010 Illya won Post Graduate Dog at
South Wales Kennel Association Championship show under judge Les Aspin,
and was then placed Reserve Best Dog.
At the Cesky Club Open Show in August 2011 Illya
won the Limit Dog class, with his son Milo
taking 1st place in Puppy Dog and also Reserve Best Puppy in Show.
Illya's son Grancek Modré Mesicé (see his page) qualified for Cruft's 2012, as
did Grancek Modry Mraz, sold to Jayne Rusby. These two
boys are from Illya's first litter. Both have inherited
their father's cheerful, outgoing temperament, good mouth, and
superb movement. Illya also sired a litter of 5
out of my Jana (G. Jitrenka)(the Grancek 'N' litter).
